Detailed inquiry can take time, says SGPC president

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbhandhak Committee has summoned an executive meeting of the committee on February 17 at Fatehgarh Sahib, SGPC president Kirpal Singh Badungar said this evening. He was interacting with media persons at the house of an NRI, HS Preet, in Phagwara.

Badungar said the meeting was being called to discuss about extending the duration of the three-member inquiry committee, constituted to identify the names of Sikh leaders who recently sought political support from Dera Sacha Sauda. He said the inquiry committee had collected different audio and video material besides various newspaper clippings. Badungar said a detailed inquiry could take time to prove the matter and then the detailed report would be sent to the Akal Takht.
