Gang of cattle thieves busted

JALANDHAR: The Jalandhar Rural Police claimed to have busted a professional gang of cattle thieves and recovered 12 buffaloes that were later handed over to their real owners.

The Jalandhar Rural Police claimed to have busted a professional gang of cattle thieves and recovered 12 buffaloes that were later handed over to their real owners.

The arrested accused in this case have been identified as Deep Singh of Aur village in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar; Mohammad Saffi, alias Billa (Gujjar) of Shhoti Ghadani village in Ludhiana and Nek Mohammad (Gujjar) of Nodhdhani village in Sangrur. Theyhave been lodged in the Central Jail, Kapurthala. However, investigation is still being conducted into the matter.
