Jolt for Tinu as Karwals support Kaypee

Making a major dent in the citadel of Akali MLA Pawan Tinu, former Akali district president and sitting councillor Darshan Singh Karwal, his two councillor brothers and other Akali leaders have committed their support to ex-minister and Congress nominee Mohinder Singh Kaypee in Adampur constituency.

Among others to announce support for Kaypee were hardcore Akali leaders like Prof Harbans Singh Bolina and SGPC member Gurcharan Kaur Kalra. The Akali leaders alleged that 880 police cases had been registered falsely against Akali leaders at Tinu’s behest in the last five years. — TNS
