Phagwara, June 16
The police on Saturday seized 230 intoxicating capsules and 300 intoxicating tablets from Lakhwinder Singh, a resident of Muradpur village in Hoshiarpur district, and arrested him near the Rihana-Jattan bus stand on the Phagwara-Hoshiarpur road.
He was going towards Hoshiarpur in a car.
The police said the accused had confessed before the police that he bought the intoxicants from Patiala and was going to sell these at higher rates.
A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act has been registered against the accused.
