Theft at eatery

Valuable goods, including brass utensils, were stolen from renowned JK Dhaba in Model Town on Tuesday night. Shop owner Joginder Kumar said he went to his home after closing the dhabha around 11.30 pm, but found the locks broken and goods missing when in the morning. The police have registered a case.

House burgled

The house of Harjit Ram was burgled in the Satnampura locality on Tuesday night. Burglars decamped with cash worth Rs 28,000 and 12 tolas of gold worth Rs 3.60 lakh. The police have registered a case.

Shopkeeper looted

Three unidentified armed robbers snatched a gold ring and cash worth Rs 20,000 from Suresh Gupta, owner of Gupta Karyana Store at Raja Garden Colony on Wednesday. The robbers, who came on a bike, escaped after locking the shopkeeper in the shop. The police have registered a case under Section 379B of the IPC.

Drug peddler held

The police have arrested a drug peddler, Jabarjang Singh of Ranipur village and recovered 100 gm of heroin from his possession on Wednesday. Deputy Superintendent of Police Dev Dutt Sharma said the police on Wednesday also arrested two proclaimed offenders Lakhwinder Singh of Bahani and Yadavinder Singh of Banga who were wanted in various criminal cases for the last few years. —OC
