As per the Mission Indradhanush started by the Health and Family Welfare Department, vaccinations were administered to as many as 9,267 children in the district.
As per the project, the aim of the project is to administer vaccines to children up to the age of two years.
DC KK Yadav said, “Under the project, children and mothers who had been devoid of vaccinations so far will be administered these. The vaccines have been administered to 4,641 children in June and 4,626 children in August.”
He said, “The vaccination drive under the project will continue for one year, for which coordination teams have been made of the health department, medical education, rural development, panchayat departments. The records of all children devoid of vaccination are being shared to ensure they get vaccinations now.
The vaccinations will save children from various diseases though pentavalent and BCD vaccines. Special camps will also be held in backward areas under the programme.”
