The two-day cultural, literary and fine arts extravaganza— Reflexions, concluded at GGN Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT), Civil Lines, here today.
The first day of the fiesta kicked off to a very enthusiastic start. The students gave an innovative start to event by floating colourful balloons in the air symbolising freedom and happiness.
Prof Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director, GGNIMT and Harpreet Singh, Principal GGNIMT, inaugurated the festival by lighting the lamp. They inspired the students for a whole hearted participation in such co-curricular activities for their all round development.
This was followed by the first event of the day -solo song. As many as 30 students participated in the event. The melodious voices of the participants won many hearts. The students brought out their vivid imagination and creativity in the theme-based events of creative writing. A theme based rangoli and collage events added colors to the event.
The students showcased their wit and wisdom during a quiz event, which was based on business.
Solo dance was the star event of the day with as many as 50 participants. The participants showcased different forms and styles. Principal Harpreet Singh said such events break the monotony of studies and refreshes the students along with honing their skills.
The fiesta witnessed a series of team events on its second day. The final round of quiz challenged many witty minds and demonstrated perfect team play.
The mega event of the day was: Fashion Show. As many as 11 teams participated in the event and walked down the ramp in complete style and attitude with theme based attires. Prof Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director , GGNIMT congratulated the students for putting up a great show. He urged them to participate in extracurricular activities for their all round personality development.
