3 booked in fraud case

The Sahnewal police have registered a fraud case against three persons.

Surinder Singh, son of Gurbaksh Singh, a resident of Sarabha Nagar, complained to the police that Surinderpal Singh, son of Jagjit Singh, Jaswinder Kaur, wife of Surinderpal Singh, and Feroz, son of Muktiar, all residents of Model Town, prepared wrong documents for an electric meter and got it installed illegally in his land at Sahnewal Khurd village.

Besides, he alleged that the accused tried to stop him from doing construction on his own land. They also threatened him with dire consequences in case he tried to do so.

A case under Sections 447, 448, 506, 420 and 120-B of IPC was registered against the accused at the Sahnewal police station.
