30 take part in cleanliness march in Shimla, Solan

KHAMANO: As many as 30 members of Sai Charitable Society from the town took part in a cleanliness campaign at Solan and Shimla.

As many as 30 members of Sai Charitable Society from the town took part in a cleanliness campaign at Solan and Shimla.

Dr Dhani Ram Shindal, Cabinet Minister Social Justice and Welfare, took a pledge with society members in Solan. He also lead the march along with participants holding banners on Mall Road in Solan. While praising society members for the initiative he said cleanliness was essential part of the country.

Afterwards, society members organised another march with the help of Geetangali, president of the Mahilla Congress Shimla unit, and the Mall Road area councillor, Inderjit Singh. As many as 100 locals and tourists took part in the event and pledged for taking responsibility of cleanliness.

While thanking society for the initiative, Geetangali said, “This is inspiration for Shimla residents and tourists.” Speaking on the occasion, Dr Naresh Chauhan said, “Society will always use big platform like Mall Road in future for such activities to convey to every citizen of India the message of maintaining cleanliness.” He also thanked all, who participated in the march.
