The address, “Tarun Talkies- Jammu Tawi”, written on one of the abandoned bags recovered by the police in Talwandi village two days ago, remains untraceable, say the police. To get more details about “Yashwanthapura”, written on another bag, the police are taking the help of the Internet and the Bengaluru police as there is a place called Yashwanthapura in Bengaluru.

Bhupinder Singh, DCP (Crime), said the police were investigating the matter from all angles and were trying to get the minutest details. “We are in touch with persons in Bengaluru to get leads on Yashwanthapura. As of now, we have not been able to get any further information about “Tarun Talkies” from Jammu. The Jammu police are still investigating the matter,” he said, adding that Army personnel staying in the city were being contacted.

The two bags abandoned in the fields at Talwandi village created panic. While some believed that it was the handiwork of terrorists, the others said a drug-addict or thieves must have thrown the bags from a moving train. A rail line passes nearby.

Meanwhile, villagers feel there is a police academy nearby and the recovery of the bags from the fields should not be taken lightly. “These were not ordinary bags. One bag was of big size and clothes like Army fatigues were found in these. Why should someone throw the bags in the fields like this?”, asked Satnam Singh, one of the villagers.
