Pledge for green Diwali

LUDHIANA: The NSS unit of Gobindgarh Public College, Alour(Khanna), organised a pledge ceremony to celebrate eco-friendly ,clean, green and cracker-free Diwali for the NSS volunteers, under the guidance of the college principal, Neena Seth Pajni, on Tuesday.

Ludhiana: The NSS unit of Gobindgarh Public College, Alour(Khanna), organised a pledge ceremony to celebrate eco-friendly ,clean, green and cracker-free Diwali for the NSS volunteers, under the guidance of the college principal, Neena Seth Pajni, on Tuesday. Prof Mandeep Singh and Prof B Rupinder Kaur (NSS Program, Officer) and 100 NSS volunteers and non-volunteers participated in this ceremony.

‘Diwali Fete’ at DBU 

It was a fun time at Desh Bhagat University. The occasion was 'Diwali Fete' organised by the IEDC Department of the university. The fete proved a source of healthy entertainment and presented pictures of rich traditional culture and heritage of many states of the country. Chancellor Zora Singh and pro-chancellor Tajinder Kaur inaugurated the mega event and said such event were a source of knowledge and recreation. They also said through such programmes, youth got a direction to prove their skills, gets practical exposure and information about our rich heritage and culture. 

Diwali celebrations at KIMT

Khalsa Institute of Management and Technology, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, celebrated Diwali with devotion, enthusiasm and excitement. The decorated campus added charm and religious fervour to the atmosphere as the students were in festive mood. The stalls of decorated diyas, lamps, candles,eatables and fashion accessories were organised by students of the BCA- III semester and MBA- I semester. The director,  Harpreet Kaur, faculty members gave their best wishes for a happy and prosperous Diwali to students and encouraged them by buying beautifully decorated handmade diyas and candles.— TNS
