Ten persons were bitten by stray dogs in Chadhiar and its adjoining areas yesterday. The injured were treated at the Civil Hospital here.

Residents complained there was no anti-rabies vaccine at the hospital. However, the health authorities refuted the claim and said there was adequate stock of anti-rabies vaccine and more would be arranged from Dharamshala, if required.

Meanwhile, residents expressed concern over rise in number of dog bite cases. The health department officials said they were helpless in tackling the stray dog menace due to ban on their killing.
