JALANDHAR: An autorickshaw driver had a miraculous escape when a truck fell over the auto he was driving from a bridge on National Highway 1A here today.

An autorickshaw driver had a miraculous escape when a truck fell over the auto he was driving from a bridge on National Highway 1A here today.

The driver, who sustained minor injuries, was still in a state of shock.

According to witnesses, autorickshaw driver Manavdeep Singh was passing under the bridge near Transport Nagar when suddenly a truck moving on top of the bridge fell over the vehicle.

The condition of truck driver Narayan Singh, a resident of Raiyya village, is stated to be critical. He has broken his leg and has also sustained deep cuts on his body. Singh was going to Anandpur Sahib after dropping a consignment at Amritsar.

Both were admitted to the Civil Hospital.
