A Forest Department team today sealed six sawmills during raids on three wood-based industries in Bahadurgarh. The industries failed to show the licence for operating the machines to the raiding team.

Sunder Sambharya, District Forest Officer (DFO),said three machines of Savitri Plywood, two of Kaushik Plywood and one machine of Compact Plywood had been sealed.

“Every wood-based industry is bound to obtain a licence from the Forest Department for every machine to be installed in the unit to manufacture plywood or other wooden items,” said Sambharya.

He said a case would soon be filed against these industrial units in the Special Environment Court, Faridabad.
