Chandigarh, January 13

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has withdrawn its complaint against DGP Suresh Arora. The party, through its leader Navkiran Singh, had earlier complained to Chief Electoral Officer VK Singh, alleging that the DGP was working in collusion with Akali leaders.

State party convener Gurpreet Singh Waraich had also alleged that the state police, under DGPArora, had failed to take action against culprits in sacrilege cases, besides failing to solve high-profile murders, including that of RSS leader Jagdish Gagneja and Namdhari matriarch Mata Chand Kaur.
