Auditions for Sujanpur Holi Utsav on March 6

Hamirpur: The district administration is going to organise auditions of local artistes for participation in a four-day national-level 'Holi Utsav' to be held from March 11. The administration would organise the auditions at Bachat Bhawan near the office of the Deputy Commissioner here on March 6. The selection of star artistes would be done on the basis of best price quoted by them for performing during the cultural evenings of the festival. The administration has also asked event management companies and star artistes to quote their prices before March 3. It is expected that CM Virbhadra Singh will inaugurate the festival. Madan Chauhan, DC, said Sujanpur Holi Utsav was a historical festival and was celebrated with great pomp and show. He said the festival would provide entertainment and business opportunities to local and other vendors who bring latest styles and trends to the venue. OC
