INLD leader Abhay Singh Chautala has accused the BJP government of backtracking on its poll promise to regularise the services of temporary and ad hoc employees.

Talking to mediapersons here today, Abhay said instead of fulfilling its promises, the government had been muzzling the democratic right of employees to protest by invoking ESMA. The INLD would extend its support to the employees’ stir if the government didn’t accept their demands”, Chautala said, adding that the BJP wanted to induct people with RSS mindset into government jobs through ad hoc appointments.

The INLD leader also questioned the police recruitment process in Kurukshetra as it was wrong to ask youth from the entire state to gather at one place for appearing in the physical test. “The decision to increase the interview marks from 12 to 24 put a question mark over fairness in recruitment,” he said.

Addressing a sadbhavna sammelan in Balsamand village of the district, Abhay alleged that the BJP had hatched a conspiracy to divide and polarise society for its vested political gains during the Jat agitation. “The BJP has no intentions to support the demand for reservation by the six castes, including Jats, as its sole objective is to divide society by taking advantage of the stir”, Abhay said.

Hisar INLD MP Dushyant Chautala alleged the companies that are being handed over 23 power subdivisions belong to Gujarat and some Haryana ministers were associated with some of these firms.
