State BJP chief Subhash Barala said in his presidential address that the Khattar government had won confidence of the people through good governance, corruption-free administration, transparency in recruitment and development initiatives.

He asked party workers to serve at the booth level to strengthen the BJP.

He claimed that the INLD was fighting in its own home and the Congress on the roads while the BJP was only the party whose workers were working for the common man in the state.

Finance Minister Captain Abhimanyu said that terrorism, money laundering, corruption, Maoism and cash had a close relationship but the Prime Minister had cleaned the system through demonetisation.

Capt Abhimanyu said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had taken the historic step on November 8 by demonetising currency of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 as the country had been facing a huge loss due to parallel economy fed by fake currency.

The state government, Abhimanyu said, had started working on promoting the cashless system to support demonetisation, he added. An MoU had been done with the SBI for 3,000 POS machines to enhance the cashless system in various departments, he added.
