The BJP has decided to launch a collective attack on the Opposition on the issues of demonetisation and development policies. The party has also planned a strategy for campaigning in the poll-bound states in the state’s neighbourhood.

BJP functionaries finalised the political agenda during a meeting of the state executive with the district presidents of the party at a hotel here today.

The meeting was chaired by Subhash Barala, state president of the party. BJP state general secretary (Organisation) Suresh Bhatt, media in-charge Rajiv Jain, general secretary Veer Kumar Yadav Haryana Khadi Gramudyog chairman Sanjay Bhatia and other senior executives of the party attended the meeting.

BJP sources said in the first session of the meeting, all district presidents presented their report cards and submitted suggestions for the political agenda. Some district presidents also raised the issues of non-supportive behaviour of the administrative officials towards the common man and the party workers, which hit the image of the government, said the sources.

Under its political agenda, the BJP has decided to attack collectively on the Opposition on the issue of demonetisation and the party workers would urge people to go for cashless modes of payment. They will also make them aware of the development works and policies made by the government for their benefit.

The sources said the state BJP had also decided to highlight the party’s policies during election campaigning in the neighbouring states.

Party workers in the districts close to Punjab would campaign in Punjab while those from districts touching Uttar Pradesh will campaign in the central state. The workers and executives of the central Haryana could be sent to Uttrakhand for campaigning, added the sources.

Rajiv Jain told mediapersons that the political agenda had been finalised and it would be discussed during the committee meeting tomorrow. “What the government has done in the last two years for development and how the Opposition befooled common people against the government are part of the political agenda prepared by the committee today,” he said.
