Bona fide certificate for women married outside state

SHIMLA: The Cabinet today decided to regularise the service of 3,000 part time water carriers and water carriers-cum-peon in the Education Department, who had been appointed under the 1996 and 2001 policies.

The Cabinet today decided to regularise the service of 3,000 part time water carriers and water carriers-cum-peon in the Education Department, who had been appointed under the 1996 and 2001 policies.

The decision was taken at the Cabinet meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. The move would put an additional financial burden of Rs 60 crore on the state exchequer. Those who have rendered 14 years continuous service till March 31, 2016 and September 30, 2016 will be regularized as Peon (Class-IV) against the available vacancies throughout the state.

In a significant move, the Cabinet decided to grant Bona fide Himachali Certificate to women from the state who are married to non-Himachalis having their permanent home outside the state. This has been done with a view to give them security for rest of their lives. A large number of Himachali women married outside Himachal stand to benefit from the decision.

The Cabinet also decided to grant a two-year tax waiver to over 26,000 residents living in Gram Panchayats, Mant, Uperli Badol, Sakoh, Jatehar, Sidhpur, Khaniyara, Gabli Dari, Uperli Dari Sidhbari areas in the vicinity of Dharamsala town which have been merged into the newly created Municipal Corporation.The Cabinet gave its nod to introducing the draft Bill (Prevention of Violence and Damage to Property Act, 2009) in the assembly to protect doctors and other para-medical staff against violence and damage to property. It was also decided to place proposed draft plan for establishing of a Medical University in the State before the Cabinet. Nod was given for implementation of HP Universal Health Protection Scheme (HPUHPS). It also decided to allot land at Averi village in Nirmand area of Kullu under rehabilitation scheme for oustees/displaced persons. The Ministry of Defence had acquired private land for defence purpose at Village Averi during the year 1998-99.

The Cabinet approved Panchayat Pashudhan Puruskar Yojna. The two best panchayats in each Development Block having 100 per cent registration of tattooed cattle and no abandoning of cattle would be given Rs five lakh award. With an objective to maintain the male-female sex ratio the cabinet gave its approval for HP Panchayat Balika Guarav Puruskar Yojna under which Rs. 10 lakh wil be given to Panchayats with best sex ratio.

With a view to provide industry friendly environment, the Cabinet gave nod for extension of reduced electricity duty to existing industries with substantial expansion under Himachal Pradesh Electricity (Duty) Act, 2009. Tourism Industry too will be covered. The cabinet gave approval for creating Planning Areas for Aut in Mandi and Sangla in Kinnaur district.The cabinet also approved the re-revised Eco-Tourism Policy, 2017, subject to the condition that the PPP projects will be given directly by the forest department and HP Tourism Development Corporation will be given preference over the forest department.

Decision was taken to allot 55 self -identified Micro Hydel Projects up to 5500 KW capacity to Bonafide Himachali entrepreneurs. It approved opening of two Regional Transport Office (RTO) Kinnaur at Rampur and Baddi (Nalagarh).
