Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said that a special call centre would be set up to monitor complaints registered at CM Window and ensure grievances were redressed.

He was here today to highlight his government’s achievements in the first 100 days in office. “Nearly 17,000 complaints have been received at the CM Window since its launch on December 25 last year. Of the complaints received, responses have been given to 3,380 and action was being taken.

“Putting an end to 10 years of corruption has been my biggest achievement in the first 100 days. The Vigilance Bureau (VB) has arrested more persons and registered more cases in these 100 days than it did in the past 10 years,” Khattar claimed.

Supporting his claims with data, he said the Vigilance Bureau inquired 36 cases. “In 15 cases, 27 officials were held guilty and Rs 14.44 lakh was recovered as penalty from them.”

The bureau, Khattar said, was inquiring into 23 new cases, including Kaushalya Dam case, HCS recruitment, government land scam in NIT-Faridabad and MNREGA scam in Ambala.

Khattar said a Road Safety Fund had been constituted for which a provision of Rs 25 crore would be made in the Budget. “About 50 per cent of the amount collected by the police through challans will be used for road safety measures.” The Chief Minister claimed the state government was focusing on improving infrastructure.
