Chandigarh, March 22

The city today witnessed the warmest day of the season with the maximum temperature being recorded at 32 degrees Celsius and minimum being 16.9 degrees Celsius.

The Met Department has predicted no respite from heat in the coming days even though thundershowers and light rain have been forecast for tomorrow.

“There is a possibility of thunder and lightning tomorrow but that will not affect the temperature, which will continue to hover around the same for the next couple of days,” said Met officials. They said the maximum temperature on March 23 would be 32 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature would be 16 degrees Celsius.

The city is also likely to witness cloudy conditions during the week but the weathermen have predicted dry and warm days ahead.

“From March 25 onwards, temperature will start rising and the days will become warmer,” said the Met officials.
