Signboards are there to help people in finding their destinations but the authorities need to take care of the same. Some of the old signboards which fell due to some reasons are left to meet their own faith. Instead of repairing, they are kept by the authorities at their wish which often results in misleading the commuters while some others are just left in isolation. Like the one in the picture shows Railway station's direction with an arrow pointed upwards. It seems one needs to be air-borne to to go to railway station and board a train
Traffic in a shamble
Due to a reported tiff between the top brass of city police and its traffic wing staff, most of the busy roads and intersections remained unmanned with no traffic cops on the site to regulate the traffic and enforce the rules. The result has been total chaos, extended traffic jams at various places across the city and huge inconvenience to the public. If residents are to be believed, passing through the Fountain Chowk in Civil Lines which connects five busy roads has become an ordeal, especially during peak hours in the morning and evening. The motorists and other road users are caught in traffic snarl up even during the day time when otherwise the flow of traffic earlier remained well under control and in an orderly manner. Residents fervently hope that the pending issues, if any, are resolved and traffic cops resume their duty to bring the situation back to normal
