Cross-border crime discussed at police meet

YAMUNANAGAR: A meeting of police officials from the districts neighbouring Yamunanagar was held here today to discuss cross-border crime.

A meeting of police officials from the districts neighbouring Yamunanagar was held here today to discuss cross-border crime.

Rajinder Singh, DSP, Jagadhri, chaired the meeting, which was attended by Sanjeev Kumar, SHO, Sarsawa Police Station in Saharanpur district of UP; Harmesh Kumar, SHO, Paonta Sahib Police Station in HP; Harichand of CIA staff, Nahan in Sirmaur district of HP and Rakesh Kumar, ASI, Ambala Cantonment.In the meeting, we discussed steps to be taken to control illegal mining, overloading of vehicles, cattle and liquor smuggling, and cyber-related crimes,” said the DSP.

He said mutual co-operation among police officers of neighbouring districts was must to control crime. —TNS
