Cut bus fare by 40 pc: HLP

SHIMLA: Himachal Lokhit Party (HLP) leaders today demanded that the state government should slash the bus fares and freight charges by 40 per cent as the prices of petrol and diesel had come down by more than 56 per cent in the markets.

Himachal Lokhit Party (HLP) leaders today demanded that the state government should slash the bus fares and freight charges by 40 per cent as the prices of petrol and diesel had come down by more than 56 per cent in the markets.

In a memorandum submitted to Governor Urmila Singh here, HLP chief Maheshwar Singh asked her that the state was putting an extra burden on the common man by charging higher bus fares. He said the government was charging higher bus fares and freight charges as compared to neighbouring states.
