DC reviews Republic Day preparations

LUDHIANA: A meeting under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Ravi Bhagat was organised to review the preparations for the district-level Republic Day function to be held on January 26.

A meeting under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Ravi Bhagat was organised to review the preparations for the district-level Republic Day function to be held on January 26.

Officials from various departments attended the meeting. Addressing the officials, Bhagat said they should celebrate the day with a feeling of nationalism.

He appealed to the masses to ensure their participation in the Republic Day function. He also instructed the officials to be present on the Republic Day function with their families to celebrate the day with pomp and show.

Assistant Commissioner (General) Swati Tiwana informed various departments about the arrangements and duties to be performed.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Apneet Riyait informed that ‘Jhakies’ exhibiting public welfare schemes would also be a part of the celebrations.
