Delay in pension payment resented

Pensioners of the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC), Mandi, has expressed their resentment against the state government over the delay in payment of pension for the last four months.

Rajender Pal, chairperson of the pensioners’ association, convened a meeting of pensioners to chalk out a future strategy to pressurise the state government to resolve their issue.

He said the state government was not paying heed to the pensioners’ demand. On the other hand, the government had sufficient funds to purchase news buses, they said.

“We urge Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh to look into the issue and ensure our payment of pension in time,” he said.
