Publicity adviser to government Rocky Mittal today alleged that eighty per cent staff in Public Relations Department was recruited from outside the state during the tenure of Om Parkash Chautala and Bhupinder Singh Hooda. He further stated that such appointees were regularised in a short period whereas those appointed at DC rates in various departments were not regularised.

Mittal also criticised Congress MLA Randeep Singh Surjewala for being present during the release Punjab Congress election manifesto which claimed it had no surplus water to share with any other state. Speaking on demonetisation, Mittal said the move was welcomed by the people barring few disgruntled politicians.
