On the completion of 21 years of formation of Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar, Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev stressed the need for going ‘swadeshi’ and depending less on ‘foreign goods’.
In a function held at Patanjali Yogpeeth, Swami Ramdev also laid stress on education, health and nation building as “these are imperative to make India a super power once again”.
Ramdev said with swadeshi culture, values, techniques, produces, attire, technology, education, health practices, the country could attain its lost glory as a world leader.
Acharya Balkrishan shed light on the inception, achievements, growth and future goals of Patanjali Yogpeeth.
“We have been working on cow conservation for the past several years. Also, we have been generating awareness to ensure purity and sanctity of the Ganga. Pure, organic agro products, herbs and local farming have been the hallmark of Patanjali Ayurved Ltd, while the Yogpeeth has become synonymous with healthy art of yoga and ayurveda,” he said.
A yagna was held on the Yogpeeth premises in which Swami Ramdev; Acharya Balkrishan, general secretary of Patanjali Yogpeeth; employees of Yogpeeth and followers of Swami Ramdev took part.
