Gurugram developer loses building licence

CHANDIGARH: The Town and Country Planning Department has cancelled the licence of a Gurugram-based builder for not developing a colony in accordance with the relevant terms and conditions.

The Town and Country Planning Department has cancelled the licence of a Gurugram-based builder for not developing a colony in accordance with the relevant terms and conditions. The licence was cancelled on January 4. The company was granted a licence to develop the colony on 3.409 acres in Sector 71 of Gurugram on November 30, 2011.

The company was put on notice under the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Rules, 1976, to remove deficiencies. Another show cause notice was sent to the company on January 20, 2015. It was asked to submit relevant documents on November 16, 2015.

Before cancelling the licence, the company officials were asked to appear for personal hearing on September 16, 2016. However, neither the company officials appeared before the Director General nor any reply was sent.
