Jat leaders today decided to challenge the notices served by the district administration on protesters seeking details of their assets.

They demanded withdrawal of all notices served on Jat leaders, Rs 10 lakh compensation and government job to kin of those killed during February stir and release of youths lodged in jail for arson and violence in a meeting held at Chhotu Ram Dharamshala here.

Jat leaders also served an ultimatum to the state government to accept their demands by August 31.

Om Prakash Dhankar, chief of Dhankar Sabha, said, “The district administration is guilty of letting the violence take place and notices were served on innocent protesters to save their skin. We will not tolerate this unjustified action.”
