Kedarnath portals to reopen on May 3

The portals of Lord Kedarnath will open after the winter break at 8.50 am on May 3.

As per the tradition, the date of opening of the portal was decided today on the occasion of Maha Shivratri at a meeting in Omkareshwar temple, Ukhimath. Priests and other religious people attended the meeting. Every year, the date for opening of the Kedarnath temple is decided on the occasion of Maha Shivratri at Omkarshwar temple.

The traditional doli will depart from Omkareshwar temple for Kedarnath shrine on April 30. — TNS
