Health Minister Kaul Singh Thakur today laid the foundation stone of a Community Health Centre to be constructed at a cost of Rs 2.19 crore at Dharampur in Mandi.
The minister also laid the foundation stone of a Primary Health Centre at Chailanggarh to be constructed at a cost of Rs 1.2 crore. During his visit in the area, he inaugurated sub-health centers at Pipli, Rasengalu and Gadhidhar.
Addressing a public meeting at Dharampur, he said the state government was making efforts to provide better education, road infrastructure and health facility to the people of the state and various steps had been taken in this direction.
The minister said at present the state government was spending Rs 9 core under the Dharampur block to establish a number of primary and sub-primary health centers, adding that Rs 5.18 crore was spent to complete the construction work of buildings for the purpose at Syoh, Dharampur, Cholthra and Darvar, while Rs 4.24 lakh was to be spent for the construction of nine more health centres in the region.
