A minor “lover” couple allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves in Narnaund town of the district today. The deceased were students of a government school in the town.
The police said the duo was found hanging in a room in the girl’s house. The boy and girl were neighbours and reportedly had an affair for some time. The boy’s family cremated his body soon after the incident but the girl’s family reported the matter to the police.
Narnaund police SHO Sher Singh said they had registered a case under Section 174 in the CrPC and started an investigation.
The girl’s mother had given a statement about the alleged suicide by the duo. The boy’s body was already cremated when the police were informed about the incident while the girl’s body was handed over to her family after a post-mortem examination.
