One nominated, 4 elected BJP councillors file papers

CHANDIGARH:On the five seats of the MC’s Finance and Contract Committee (F&CC), four BJP and one nominated councillor filed their nomination papers today.

On the five seats of the MC’s Finance and Contract Committee (F&CC), four BJP and one nominated councillor filed their nomination papers today. 

From the BJP, Arun Sood, Heera Negi, Jagtar Singh and Kanwarjeet Singh filed the nomination papers while among the nominated councillors, Ajay Datta filed his papers today. 

From the Congress, Davinder Babla had filed his papers yesterday. 

The election to the five seats of the F&CC will be held on January 24. With the majority in the House, the BJP and nominated councillors are set to win five seats and there are likely chances that there will be no representative of the Congress in 

the F&CC. The F&CC is the second most important committee in the Municipal Corporation after the MC General House.
