Passport seva kendra opens in Palampur

DHARAMSALA: The BJP MP from Kangra, Shanta Kumar, today inaugurated a Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) at Palampur today.

The BJP MP from Kangra, Shanta Kumar, today inaugurated a Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) at Palampur today.

Speaking on the occasion, Shanta said the POPSK scheme of the Government of India would provide facility of making passport to the people of the area at their doorstep.

It was for the first time that the benefits of the government schemes were reaching the poorest of the poor. The people of the country were voting for development and not getting carried away in slogans dividing them on the basis of caste and religion, Shanta said.

The Post Master General, Himachal, Nirmal Singh, who was also present on the occasion, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had collaborated with the Postal Department for providing passport service to the people at their doorstep.
