Ludhiana, March 26

Day after the Ludhiana Tribune highlighted in its column “Goof-ups mark police website’ on March 24, the police websites of both Ludhiana Commissionerate and Khanna police, which were earlier showing the old police chiefs as the incumbent chiefs, have been updated by the Police Department.

As per information, Ludhiana Commissionerate updated the police website day after the news appeared while the Khanna police updated its website today only.

The Ludhiana Commissionerate got a new chief, Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh (IPS) and Khanna a new SSP, Rajjit Singh, in place of Jatinder Singh Aulakh and Satinder Singh, respectively.

Kunwar, who was chief of Special Task Force (STF), was transferred on March 16 as the Ludhiana Commissioner of Police and he took over on March 17. Jatinder Aulakh was transferred as IG Law and Order.

Sources said chiefs of Ludhiana and Khanna police had taken serious note of the matter and told the officials handling the websites not to make such goof-ups in the future.
