RTI activist seeks transfer of 3 officials

RTI activist Parvinder Singh Kittna has sent a complaint to the Chief Election Officer, seeking transfer of two Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) and a Junior Engineer (JE)at the BDPO office, Mahilpur. He has expressed fears that these three officials could influence the people to vote for a particular candidate.

In his complaint, Kittna has sought transfer of ASI Malkiat Singh, who is posted in security of minister and SAD candidate Sohan Singh Thandal.

Kittna alleged that Malkiat Singh was a brother of Thandal and had been deployed in his security as a gunman ever since he became minister. Kittna expressed fears that Malkiat Singh could influence people to vote for Thandal hence he should be transferred.

He also sought transfer of ASI Om Parkash and JE Ramjeet Singh. He said both had been posted in the area since long and could influence local voters.
