Kullu, January 17
The state-level function of Himachal’s 47th Statehood Day will be held in Kullu on January 25. The district administration has geared up for the function.
Kullu DC Yunus Khan said necessary guidelines had been given to the officials concerned of various departments to make arrangements for the function. He said a discussion related to stage, parade, cultural events and various other events was done with various officials.
The DC said Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh would hoist the national flag and take the salute from the parade.
He said contingents of the HP Police, SSB, ITBP, Home Guards and the NCC would participate in the parade.
He said folk artistes from other districts, besides those from within the district, had been invited for cultural presentations. — OC
