As many as five persons were injured after an SUV rammed into an auto-rickshaw and a bike. The injured were admitted to the nearby hospital.
The accident occurred near the Jalandhar bypass in the afternoon. The SUV first rammed into the bike and then went on to hit the auto-rickshaw.
Three auto-rickshaw passengers, namely Sandeep Kumar, Harbans Singh and Ajit Singh, suffered injuries. Rinku and another person, who were on the bike, were also injured.
Sources said, the police nabbed the SUV driver, Mintu, a resident of Jalandhar. His vehicle has been impounded.
