Training programme for ASHA workers ends

MANALI: The three-day training programme on in-service training and sensitisation of central and state governments, local bodies and other service providers concluded here today.

Manali, March 19

The three-day training programme on in-service training and sensitisation of central and state governments, local bodies and other service providers concluded here today.

The programme was sponsored by the Rehabilitation Council of India, New Delhi.

As many as 42 ASHA workers from Naggar block of Kullu district participated in the training programme organised by Composite Regional Centre (for persons with disabilities), Sundernagar, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. Several prominent persons also shared their experiences with the ASHA workers.

Dr Paljor, Block Medical Officer (BMO), Naggar, stressed upon identification of persons with disabilities and work towards bringing them in the mainstream of society.

Manjeet Singh Saini, officer in charge of CRC, Sundernagar, and special educator Neelam Saini were among those present on the occasion.
