Two killed in Sangrur road accident

SANGRUR: Two persons were killed last night in the city when their motorcycle was hit by a speeding truck-trailer.

Two persons were killed last night in the city when their motorcycle was hit by a speeding truck-trailer.

The victims were identified as Makhan Singh and his relative Rajbir Kaur. Both died on the spot.

Sources said the motorcycle got stuck under the rear wheels of the truck-trailer and was dragged along for 1.5 km. The drive then fled the spot. Deepinder Singh, SHO Sangrur city, said they had identified the truck-trailer, which was from Rajasthan. He said the bodies were handed over to the relatives today. — TNS
