Vij: Can’t give recognition to HOA election

CHANDIGARH: Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Anil Vij said the state government could not give recognition to the elections of the Haryana Olympic Association (HOA) as Abhay Chautala did not invite the District Sports Associations for the elections and he himself became the self-styled president of the association.

Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Anil Vij said the state government could not give recognition to the elections of the Haryana Olympic Association (HOA) as Abhay Chautala did not invite the District Sports Associations for the elections and he himself became the self-styled president of the association.

Vij said Abhay was acting like president for conducting the elections. The minister said Abhay had pleased some officers of the Indian Olympic Association for this purpose, but these elections were not acceptable to the District Sports Associations. — TNS
