Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today dedicated the new complex of Deen Dayal Upadhayay Hospital constructed with an outlay of Rs 35 crore to the people of the state.
The new seven-storied Centrally heated complex will have all basic amenities like parking, chemist shops, blood banks, besides MRI and CT scan facilities. The bed capacity will be enhanced to 300 which includes 135 beds in the new complex. Besides, the two floor parking will be of great help to the attendants of the patients visiting the hospital.
Back in the state after a week-long trip to Delhi and South India, the Chief Minister today presided over the 18th meeting of the Freedom Fighters Welfare Board. He said all the grievances of freedom fighters should be addressed on priority within a month. He assured that the government would connect the homes of freedom fighters with roads and directions were issued to prepare a list of such unconnected places.
He also laid foundation stone of Directorate of Health and Family Welfare at Parimahal in Kasumpti to be constructed at a cost Rs 14.11 crore. Later in the evening he presided over Chief Minister was presided over the cultural evening organized by Kinnaur Students Association in HP University.
