Want to set up WWE academy in state: Khali

Dalip Singh Rana, popularly known as ‘The Great Khali’, said today that if the Haryana Government extended necessary support, he would set up a WWE academy in the state. He said there was a scope for sports in the state and good players could be groomed. He was talking to mediapersons after the inaugural function of Zee Mount Litera School here.

He said it was a matter of great concern that players from many small countries won medals in international sports events and India lagged behind. He praised players from Haryana for winning a substantial number of medals in the national and international sports events.

He said he had set up a WWE academy in Punjab and eight players had been selected for participating in the WWE.
