Wheat procurement from April 1

Karnal, March 23

Agriculture Minister OP Dhankar today said the government would start procurement of wheat from April 1 and arrangements in this connection were in place at all grain markets of the state. He said it was expected that around 6.5 crore quintal of wheat would be procured this year.

Dhankar was here today to inaugurate Dream Land Water Park near Karna Lake on the city outskirts. He paid tributes to freedom struggle heroes Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev.

Expressing his concern over several people who had contributed to the freedom of the country but were untraceable, the minister said the government would provide all kind of assistance to those who would work to find them. —TNS
