Tribunal stays transfer of teacher

SUNDERNAGAR: The Himachal Pradesh State Administrative Tribunal has stayed the transfer of Sunita Sharma, a JBT, who was posted at Central Government Primary School for Girls here.

The Himachal Pradesh State Administrative Tribunal has stayed the transfer of Sunita Sharma, a JBT, who was posted at Central Government Primary School for Girls here. She was transferred to Government Primary School, Bhatkidhar (Seraj), an interior area of Mandi district within nine months.

A bench comprising of Justice VK Sharma, Chairman, and Prem Kumar, Member Administrative, stayed the transfer order issued by the Director, Elementary Education.

Earlier, Sunita was transferred to Central Government Primary School, Sundernagar, from Government Primary School, Shihali. Then she was shifted to Bhatkidhar (Seraj) on March 17.

In her petition, she said her husband was posted at Government Senior School, Sundernagar, as the principal. He was then transferred to Government Senior Secondary School, Rohanda. She said her son was studying in Chandigarh and and there was nobody to look after her in-laws. While staying the order, the tribunal asked the petitioner to give a detailed representation to the Director, Elementary Education, within seven days. — OC
