The Mohali CIA Wing have busted a gang of motorcycle thieves by arresting four of its members here. The accused have been identified as Gurpreet Singh (22) of Radiala village, Amandeep Singh (18) from Balongi, Mangat Ram, alias Mangu (27), from Raipur Khurd and Bittu Chauhan, alias Nagina (18), from Balongi. Mohali SSP Kuldip Singh Chahal said the police recovered seven stolen motorcycles and one Activa scooter from their possession.
One held with charas
One person has been arrested with 100 grams of charas from Mani Majra. According to the police, the accused, identified as Sanju, alias Miya, a resident of Mori Gate, Mani Majra, was arrested while possessing Charas. A case under the NDPS Act has been registered.—TNS
