Toll plaza looted

Chamkaur Sahib: Two youths looted Rs 10,000 at gunpoint from the toll plaza here on Ropar road late on Wednesday night. The police are trying to identify the suspects with the footage of the CCTV cameras installed at the plaza. According to eyewitnesses, two youths -- with their faces covered -- came to the plaza and pointed a gun at Liaqat Ali who was issuing tickets to the commuters. As much as Rs 10,649 was lying in the cabin at that time. The miscreants took it away and fled towards Jhalian village, said Liaqat Ali. TNS
