Woman, daughter booked under NDPS Act

The local police today registered a case against woman and her daughter for allegedly carrying 8.3-kg ganja. 

The accused, Vidya and her daughter Renu, residents of Uttar Pradesh, were arrested during a naka that was laid near bus stand in Dera Bassi. The police sources said  a car that was coming from the Ambala side was stopped. The police during frisking recovered 8.3-kg ganja from the bag which the accused were carrying. A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act. —OC
